![]() ![]() ![]() They almost become too human in some parts of the story, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The one thing that makes this story awesome is all the dragons! There are thousands in this book, and the ones that Creel know develop more as the story moves forward. It happens quickly, isn't focused on so much that it takes away from the story, and can be skipped over if reading aloud, if necessary. There is more hugging and kissing, but again I don't think it is that bad. Throughout Dragon Slippers there were some relationships developing, which develop even more in this book. However, it is nothing that is too gruesome or too inappropriate for young readers. There are also some humans who die as well when they are stabbed or get shot with arrows. As a result, it is a little more violent than the previous book with all the dragons fighting each other and either getting injured or dying. ![]() There is a lot more action throughout the story with all the battles that take place. I had a hard time deciding which one I enjoyed more. Dragon Flight may not be as good as the first book (hard to beat the awesome twist on dragon folklore), but it comes very close. Even though Dragon Slippers didn't end on much of a cliffhanger, I loved it so much that I had to read the next book in the series. ![]()
